Lily Rose Depp posed for her raciest photoshoot to date as she went topless for i-D magazine's spring issue.

The  23-year-old daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp looked sensational as she posed for a slew of racy snaps, photographed by Karim Sadli.

Lily's newfound confidence is in part due to her role in racy new drama The Idol, a troubled singer plagued by mental health problems who is on a mission to reclaim her title as the sexiest pop star in America.

The French-American actress stars alongside The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, in the drama and revealed her racy role had left her feeling  'free and liberated'.

She told the magazine: 'Talk about trust and comfort. I had to go to a lot of really vulnerable places in the show.'

'Abel was the best partner that I could have ever asked for,' she continued.' He has my back and I have his. I just felt so free and liberated, so empowered.'

Lily certainly looked liberated in her racy cover spread as she flashed her assets in a sheer dress, with just a pair of briefs to protect her modesty.

In another striking snap she went topless beneath an oversized leather coat paired with chunky boots.

Elsewhere in the chat, the Chanel ambassador admitted to being 'careful' about the nepo baby phenomenon.

Lily also opened up about being plagued by imposter syndrome and the paranoia that comes from growing up famous.

'You just have to jump in and have some kind of faith that, if they’ve chosen me, then hopefully I’ve been chosen for a reason. That’s all that you can do.

'By that same token, I think that there’s nothing more exciting than being like, "Wow, I’m so nervous. I feel so challenged by this. How on earth am I going to pull this off?" You could ask for no better fuel to make you want to work really, really hard.'

The stunning ambassador for Chanel elaborated on using fear as fuel, declaring: ‘If you’re not scared, then what’s the point? I like the fear a little bit.'

Lily also discussed the nepo baby controversy – a topic she has chafed at in the past.

'I’m so careful about these conversations now,' she said. 'I feel like my parents did the best job that they possibly could at giving me the most "normal childhood" that they could. And obviously, that still was not a normal childhood.'

Lily continued to speak about her privilege, saying: 'I’m super aware of the fact that my childhood did not look like everybody’s. But at the same time, it’s all that I know, so I have had to find comfort in it somehow.

'I’m really lucky that I’ve been surrounded by people who value normalcy and who value real life and I think that’s the only way to exist in this world and not go insane.'

Growing up as the daughter of two immensely famous stars has caused Lily to suffer from anxiety and paranoia.

'I can’t smoke weed unless I’m in my room,' she revealed. 'It f**ks with my head. I overthink, like, if I leave my house and I look like shit and someone takes a photo, is it going to be, "She looks like hell, she must be depressed?" People are so quick to want to be like, "You’re doing badly." '

Lilly copes by reminding herself that 'everybody cares more about themselves' and tries to come 'back down to earth.'

'At the end of the day, everybody cares more about themselves than they do you,' she said. 'I bring myself back down to earth and go, ‘Girl, you don’t matter that much." That’s the only way to deal with it.'

But the young star is well aware of her good fortune, saying: '...I am privileged enough to get to do the job that I’m so passionate about.

'There’s good and bad sides to everything,' she added. 'If I have to deal with a little bit of anxiety to keep doing what I love, then I’m ready.'

Speaking to Elle in November, Lily-Rose slammed the idea that she has landed roles due to family connections.

'Nothing is going to get you the part except for being right for the part,' she declared. 'The internet cares a lot more about who your family is than the people who are casting you in things.'

'Maybe you can get your foot in the door,' Depp conceded, 'but you still just have your foot in the door. There's a lot of work that comes after that.'

And Lily-Rose shared that she is not acclimating to fame as time goes on: 'The older I get, the weirder I become.'

Referring to her success as a 'double-edged sword,' the young actress spoke about the inevitable downside to pouring gasoline on her stardom with a flashy new role.

'I'm not here to give myself to the world to be eaten alive,' she said.

But her role in The Idol is a dream come true for Depp, as she told i-D: 'I’ve dreamt of roles like this for forever. I just don’t think that you could give an actress a greater gift than a role like this.

'This has been the most meaningful and important project that I’ve ever done, and the thing that I’m the proudest of. I don’t know where to begin.'

Lily's new project The Idol is set for release on HBO in June 2023.

Set against the backdrop of the music industry, The Idol centers on a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult, who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol.

The series, which was co-created by Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, The Weeknd and Reza Fahim, also stars Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Dan Levy, Moses Sumney, Jane Adams, Jennie Ruby Jane, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Ramsay, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Hari Nef, Mike Dean and Hank Azaria.

There's also a long list of actors and actresses with recurring roles that includes the late Anne Heche.

After original director Amy Seimetz left the project, with multiple episodes already been shot, due to a change in creative direction, Levinson took over and the show went through a complete reshoot that was completed in July.

Lily began her acting career with a cameo role in the horror-comedy film Tusk (2014), and has since gone on to start making a name for herself in the period drama The Dancer (2016) and the French-Belgian drama film Planetarium (2016), alongside Natalie Portman.

In 2021, she stepped up her output, starring in no less than four films: Crisis, Voyager, Silent Night and Wolf.

Lily is set to reprise her Tusk and Yoga Hosers role in Moose Jaws, and she also has two upcoming movie projects including French sci-fi drama The Empire and A24's erotic drama The Governesses.
