Jorum's Claw is a new Iron Banner Pulse Rifle in Destiny 2 that is great for both PvE and PvP content. There are only three chances to earn this gun.
The Jorum's Claw Pulse Rifle has returned to Destiny 2 in Season of Defiance. Older players may remember this weapon from season 2. Since then, the game has changed tremendously, making this new version of Jorum's Claw practically a new Pulse Rifle. This Solar weapon can roll with some excellent Perks, making it a good choice for Guardians in both PvP and PvE content. Players looking to add the Jorum's Claw Pulse Rifle to their arsenal will need to participate in Iron Banner.
Iron Banner is a special PvP game mode in Destiny 2 that only occurs thrice a season, lasting just a week. This means that Guardians will need to be aware of when Lord Saladin returns to The Tower. As the first week of Iron Banner has already occurred, players have two more opportunities to get the Jorum's Claw Pulse Rifle. Guardians can expect to rejoin the fight on April 4 - 11 and April 25 - May 2.
Jorum's Claw PvE & PvP God Rolls in Destiny 2
As mentioned previously, Jorum's Claw is only awarded during Iron Banner. Players can either get this Pulse Rifle as a drop after a match or by Focusing an Engram at Lord Saladin. New Guardians must complete the quest "Forging Iron" in Destiny 2 before they can participate in Iron Banner. One copy of this Pulse Rifle can be redeemed by earning Ranks with Lord Saladin. For faster progression, each piece of Iron Banner gear worn will give a bonus to the reputation gained.
PvP God Roll
Barrel | Magazine | Trait 1 | Trait 2 |
---|---|---|---|
Extended Barrel | High-Caliber Rounds | Iron Grip | Kill Clip |
For the Jorum's Claw, Guardians want to focus on increasing range and stability while controlling recoil direction. This makes landing critical hits much easier to accomplish. Extended Barrel decreases handling but increases both range and recoil direction. High-Caliber Rounds are great on a Pulse Rifle because shots from the weapon knock the target back farther. Additionally, the range is slightly increased with this Magazine. Iron Grip massively increases stability but severely decreases reload speed. Lastly, Guardians want to take Kill Clip, as reloading after kills grant increased damage. Equipping the Suros Synergy Origin Trait also gives a bonus to handling and reduces incoming flinch for a short time after reloading the Pulse Rifle.
PvE God Roll
Barrel | Magazine | Trait 1 | Trait 2 |
---|---|---|---|
Extended Barrel | High-Caliber Rounds | Outlaw | Incandescent |
Both Barrel and Magazine choices resemble the PvP version of the Jorum's Claw God Roll. For PvE, Guardians want to take the Outlaw Perk, which will significantly decrease reload speed after precision kills. Additionally, Incandescent is a must-have on any Solar weapon because the Trait spreads Scorch to nearby foes when defeating a target. While there are better Pulse Rifles, such as the Autumn Wind in Destiny 2, this is still an excellent option for Guardians using a Solar Subclass.
