Divinity is one of the best Trace Rifles in Destiny 2, and here's how you can get it.
First Published April 28, 2023, 10:48
Destiny 2 has an interesting array of trace rifles. However, not all of them work as well as Divinity does. Trace rifles shoot a beam of energy that damages targets, but the damage output that this weapon has, compared to the other weapons in the category, is comparatively higher.
So what makes Divinity so special in Destiny 2? Thanks to the intrinsic perk on this weapon, whenever you continuously hit a target for around a second, a cage will form around it. Any hit landing within this cage will be counted as a critical hit. It also applies a 15% debuff to the target, often making it a weapon of choice for raid bosses. Although a Hunter with a Moebius Quiver or the Deadfall super applies a higher debuff, this weapon works very well for bosses who love moving around a lot, for example, Rhulk from the Vow of the Disciple Raid.
With that said, here's how you get Divinity in Destiny 2.

Where to find Divinity in Destiny 2?
The Divinity Exotic Trace Rifle is locked behind a series of quests in Destiny 2. Since this weapon is associated with the Shadowkeep campaign, most of the quests are located on the Moon itself. However, it can be slightly tricky to start the entire questline if you don't know what you're looking for.
To start off the quest, make your way to the place where you started the Shadowkeep campaign. To get here, land at Sorrows Harbor, turn to your right, and keep going straight. You should eventually head through a canyon and into the Lunar Battlegrounds area. The location is approximately near the pointer in the map below.
Once you're here, make a left, and head into the cave directly ahead of you. At the very end of this cave system, you'll see a big Vex gate. Kill everything that spawns here to summon the big Vex boss. Once you defeat it, it'll drop an Exotic Engram. You'll receive the "Divine Fragmentation" quest the moment you pick this engram up.
How to Complete The Divine Fragmentation Quest in Destiny 2
There are four basic steps to this mission. These steps are as follows:
How to Analyze Vex Cores in Nessus Lost Sectors
While Nessus has multiple Lost Sectors, you won't have to complete all of them. You will just have to complete The Orrey, Ancient Haunt, and The Conflux Lost Sectors. Inside these Lost Sectors, you will see a glowing box. These are usually hidden behind pillars so you might have to look for them a bit.
When you interact with these boxes, you will end up spawning enemies. Defeat them and then interact with the box again to complete your analysis of the core. Once you've done this for all three boxes, you will have completed this step of the quest.
Where to Collect 120 Vex Parts in Destiny 2?
For this step, killing random Vex enemies won't really work. You will have to kill only Sol Divisive Vex and collect parts from them. You'll find them lurking near Archer's Line on the Moon. Sol Divisive Vex are the ones that are covered in moss.
Alternatively, you can always grab your Fireteam and head into the Garden of Salvation raid. This activity is littered with Vex from the Sol Divisive, so you'll end up gathering these parts in no time.
How to Get The Empowered Decryption Core in Destiny 2
This is probably the simplest of all steps in this questline. All you need to do is head to the Moon and first talk to Eris Morn. After that, make your way to the Lectern of Enchantment and interact with it. You'll have the option to purchase the Empowered Decryption Core here, but that will cost you around 30 Phantasmal Fragments.
How to Complete The Laser Puzzles in The Garden of Salvation Raid in Destiny 2
There are a total of seven puzzles that you will have to complete in this encounter. The first puzzle is located at the very beginning of the Garden of Salvation raid in Destiny 2. When you first spawn into the raid, turn back and enter the first hole that you see in the ground. Once you head inside, you'll notice that there's a terminal here. When you shoot it, it'll release a ray of light. You and your teammates will have to chain this ray to another terminal to complete the circuit.
Once you do this successfully, you'll see the notification INITIATED: Security bypass protocol. Now you'll be able to access the six remaining puzzles in the raid. There's one puzzle before and after every encounter. Complete all of them, and then defeat the final raid boss to pick up your own copy of Divinity in Destiny 2.
