The IES Abroad European Union Program gives you the chance to study Politics, Economics, Business, and International Relations like you never have before. As the European Union continues to grow in size and influence, understanding it becomes key to understanding Europe and our world. This program features an integrative seminar that incorporates approximately 21 days of field study to travel to numerous countries inside and outside of the EU. Imagine visiting the European Parliament and discussing current social and political issues with EU officials, or meeting with leaders of multinational corporations to learn about international trade.

Study the European Union in-depth through the required EU Studies Integrative Seminar, which provides a context for all coursework.
Engage with German and international students through housing in university residence halls.
Enroll in English-taught IES Abroad courses that emphasize the historical and institutional development of the EU, its internal policies, issues of culture and multiculturalism and its relations with outside nations.
Interact with officials and representatives of major EU institutions in Western Europe through integrated field study to Brussels, Luxembourg, Paris, and Strasbourg.
Participate in the Model European Union and debate issues of current concern in the EU.
